PLEASE NOTE; Balloon releases and lantern releases can only legally take place once permission is granted by the CAA, any release within 5 miles of an aerodrome or 10 miles of an international aerodrome requires ATC clearance before release.. Clearance will issued once they have notified any aircraft in the surrounding areas, A special insurance and a release handling process must be followed. Please do not attempt to do this yourself as the consequences can be severe.
